Discovery Fellows

Discovery Institute · STEM · Humanities · Civic Life

You've done the intellectual work. Now put it somewhere it will compound.

For You

The Discovery Institute formed you at the intersection of science, culture, and public argument. You are comfortable in the arena where science, philosophy, and theology meet — and you know how to help students inhabit that intersection without flinching.

CHI is asking you to bring that formation into a Hall where it shapes the next generation of scientists, doctors, engineers, and civic leaders in a specific place.

The Work

A Discovery-fluent Hall does something unusual: it takes students who are going into technical and scientific fields and forms them as whole people — with philosophical foundations, historical consciousness, and a coherent account of the relationship between faith, reason, and nature. The engineer who understands why the universe is intelligible is a different kind of engineer.

What CHI Provides

Discovery-fluent Halls run as Medical Halls, Trade Schools, or Classical Honors Colleges. CHI provides STEM programs through Indiana Wesleyan and WTAMU, pre-med tracks through HCU, and liberal arts foundations through HCU.

Three Ways to Engage

Start a Hall

You have the intellectual framework and the capacity to build something institutional. The Hall Founder pathway walks you from vision to operating charter.

Become a Tutor

You want to teach in a Hall someone else is building. CHI connects Discovery-trained scholars to Halls in their region that need science-and-faith integration in their formation.

Become a Field Guide

You have spent years — perhaps a decade, perhaps a lifetime — doing the intellectual work, and you have credibility in a specific geography. Field Guides shepherd 15–20 Halls in their region: coaching Directors, carrying Discovery culture into the Halls that need it, holding the long view. The role is vocational, not contracted. Primary income from elsewhere is a prerequisite.
