About CHI

Statement of Faith

Our statement of faith is the Nicene Creed — one of the most widely accepted statements of Christian belief across denominations.

The Nicene Creed

We believe in one God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible.

And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, begotten from the Father before all ages, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made; of the same essence as the Father. Through him all things were made. For us and for our salvation he came down from heaven; he became incarnate by the Holy Spirit and the virgin Mary, and was made human. He was crucified for us under Pontius Pilate; he suffered and was buried. The third day he rose again, according to the Scriptures. He ascended to heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again with glory to judge the living and the dead. His kingdom will never end.

And we believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life. He proceeds from the Father and the Son, and with the Father and the Son is worshiped and glorified. He spoke through the prophets. We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic church. We affirm one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look forward to the resurrection of the dead, and to life in the world to come. Amen.

Our Faith Commitments

Christian Halls International affirms the historic Christian faith as expressed in the Apostles' and Nicene Creeds. We embrace these foundational beliefs while respecting the diversity of theological traditions within orthodox Christianity.

Scripture

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, authoritative, and trustworthy Word of God. Scripture is our primary guide for faith, practice, and the integration of learning with Christian beliefs.

The Trinity

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — who created all things, sustains all things, and is redeeming all things through Christ.

The Person of Christ

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, atoning death, bodily resurrection, ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His promised return in power and glory.

Salvation

This salvation is available to all who repent of their sins and put their trust in Christ as Savior and Lord — salvation from eternal death and for a restoration of the created order.

The Church

We believe in the universal Church, composed of all who have put their faith in Jesus Christ. The Church is called to worship God, nurture believers, and bear witness to Christ's redemptive work in the world.

Christian Living

We believe that Christians are called to love God with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength, and to love their neighbors as themselves — expressed through obedience, service, and stewardship of creation.

Faith & Learning

As a Christian educational organization, we are committed to the integration of faith and learning. We believe that all truth is God's truth, and therefore the pursuit of knowledge in every discipline can and should be approached from a Christian worldview.

We recognize that this integration takes different forms across academic disciplines and respects the freedom of tutors and students to explore and express diverse perspectives within the framework of Christian orthodoxy.

Interdenominational Identity

Christian Halls International is interdenominational in nature. We respect and value the diverse expressions of Christian faith found within orthodox Protestantism, Catholicism, and Orthodoxy, while maintaining our core commitments to the historic Christian faith.

Individual Christian Halls may choose to affiliate more closely with particular denominations or traditions based on their local leadership and community needs.
